To access certain features of PublishMap, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or engage in prohibited conduct.

PublishMap offers both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You authorize us (via our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method
• All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as specified in our refund policy
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

We may change subscription fees upon notice. Price changes apply to your next billing cycle after the effective date.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with PublishMap within 14 days of your initial purchase, contact us for a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted within this 14-day window.

After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months or unused features.

You agree not to use PublishMap to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
• Scrape, data-mine, or systematically collect content without authorization

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or store on PublishMap, including manuscripts, roadmaps, project plans, and editor documents. We do not claim any ownership rights to your creative work. We only use your content to provide and improve the Platform's services to you.

PublishMap Content

All software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other materials provided by PublishMap are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

You may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or used the Platform in a manner that could harm PublishMap or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

PublishMap is a planning and project management tool. We provide timelines, roadmaps, and organizational features to help authors structure their publishing process. However:

• We do not guarantee any specific publishing outcome, deal, contract, or sales result
• Timeline estimates are based on industry averages and user inputs; actual timelines may vary significantly
• Success in publishing depends on numerous factors outside our control, including market conditions, manuscript quality, and individual effort
• PublishMap is not a literary agency, publisher, or guarantor of publication

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• PublishMap is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
• We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of PublishMap shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data loss

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PublishMap, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of PublishMap after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
